There are several design choices you can make with your firepit. You have several options as far as color and material are concerned. When it comes to the shape of the pit, most people choose between square or round. This is a question of personal preference. Square pits have a more formal appearance and are great for complementing a seating wall or retaining wall. Round firepits, on the other hand, have a more informal and open feel to them. Both can look beautiful, however, and it’s down to what you like and what will work best in your yard. Firepit walls should be about 12 to 14 inches high. This makes them the perfect height for guests to rest their feet on when sitting on standard patio furniture.
